Well 2010 is set to be a big year for me and the MJET team here at Kirby Park. We have finished our first breeding season using AI only and it has been very successful. We have 6 mares in foal and many more around the country from WA to QLD in foal to our super stallion "Kirby Park Irish Friday". He is Jester's nephew (in human terms so to speak) so he has big shoes to fill but I'm sure his children will. We have been taking the babies out to their first show jumping shows and dressage days with wins at dressage and clear rounds at jump club and a good deal of XC schooling also. We are looking forward to the first event of the season at Tonimbuck in Victoria, MJET loves a good road trip! Floyd is having a hit out in the 3 star class and Bosco in the 2 star and 3 babies having their first start in the preliminary class. I went to Sydney to ride in the George Morris clinic in January and I borrowed a horse as I didn't want to drag one of my horses all the way there so early in the season. Viki Roycroft was running the clinic and kindly lent me a D grader. I had a great time and learned so much - I hope he comes out again next year. We have a Jamie Coman clinic here this week so Festy, Floyd and Bosco are getting a tune up for the start of the season and they all jumped very well today. Jester is teaching Floyd how to speak New Zelund as Floyd is going to the World Cup Event at Easter time and Jester wants Floyd to have as good a time as he did last year. (he's putting the pressure on Floyd to win "like he did" last year I'm sure) So that's all for now Megan x x x |
